Argyle yearbook is a student run class where students have the opportunity to create their own school yearbook. Students will spend one semester working on the yearbook and then will spend the second semester in theater. This is the first school in Montgomery County to have their yearbook student made. Students are put in pairs to create their own spread for the yearbook. Students also have the opportunity to go out and take pictures for the yearbook. Occasionally experienced guest speakers come to class and talk to the students. Students are divided into six different groups (Fundraising, Social, Webmasters, Editors, Photographers, and Designers). The Fundraising Committee are in charge of putting together a fundraiser for the yearbook. Their goal is to raise at least one thousand dollars that goes towards the spending budget of the yearbook and theater. The social committee will create the proposal for the Field Trip to the Newseum. They also have to compose a lesson plan for the field trip. Webmasters are responsible for designing and updating the yearbook website. They will also work with the Editors and Photographers to provide content for the site. The primary responsibility of the Editors is to edit the articles students previously wrote in the first quarter. The photographers take around 5-10 photos weekly for the yearbook and are also responsible for editing photos in Photoshop. The design masters will make sure all spreads are organized and make sure the color/font/theme all correlate with each other.
